December Review 2013

Yes it's been a long time again since October and my blog has been neglected again. November was a nightmare , if I am being honest it was not the nicest of times for me or for my husband. So, for that reason, I don't want to review November 2013 as it was a sad time and I can't think of anything nice that happened at all and so therefore I'll skip, that month. One day I will write about it but not now...

To be honest the first two weeks of December pretty much passed by in a blur to for the same reason and that is a pity as it is one of my most favorite times of the year. I did get to smile some bits though so here goes ...

We celebrated another of Ped's birthdays with a home made cake

Met Thor the Reindeer

Loved Seamus Coleman more and more

Took Loki to see Santa Paws at the RSPCA

Put up the Christmas Tree - much to Loki's confusion

Dressed up Loki for his first Christmas

Was late to the party but discovered "She and Him" just in time for Christmas

Made my first fruit Christmas Cake (still to be tasted)

Loved my sparkly converse from Santa

And camera

Wrapped up for winter walks as weather  starred getting colder

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas with the people you love x

Funny how time flies......

I''ve been a lazy blogger and if you do happen to read this... not sure anybody does (and even if you don't it is a nice on line diary for me) then sorry it has taken me so long to update this. There are very good reasons which I may go into one day, for for now worry not.. I'm back with a combined September/October review (early for October I know) but I am in the mood to get something down on on the inter-web so here goes

In September I...

August break 2013 : The last week

I really cannot believe it is now September ... The year just seems to have gone so quickly. I like autumn though, I like the colours and how it is sunny but crisp all at the same time. The only thing I don't like is the dark nights.
Anyway the "August Break" photography project has now come to an end and so here are my last week of photographs.

Day 26 Yes!

After many years I have finally (Yes!!!) got my own kitchen aid

I have finally started knitting my chunky scarf after buying the wool in March!!!

Day 27 Number

This was the page I got up to after finally starting to read the Harry Potter books .. Currently I am ready the Philosophers' stone

Day 28 Smell

The ever so cute Loki's nose which is amazing at smelling stuff miles and miles away (and a bonus cheeky grin thrown in)

Day 29 Fave thing

There is no way I could just choose one and so I picked a few Disney, Everton FC, special memories of a precious dog (Duncan's dog tag) and my husband and Loki the second day we brought him home.

Day 30 Sign

This is one of my tattoo's - I chose it as sign-  as to me it was a personal sign to believe in myself, to have faith, believe in magic and dreams .. Not to give to hope.

Day 31 Smile

A bit of a cheat as this was in June on our holidays in Wales but indeed there are lots of smiles - it was in fact our wedding anniversary and in Betws y Coed, one of my favorite places

And finally but not least I did day 2 circles that was outstanding.... When I took it I was surprised why it took me so long for the idea!!!

It's my sewing machine and threads!!

And so that's it.. All done 31 pictures for 31 days!! I've really enjoyed doing it - it has been challenging trying, to come up with the relevant photos to match the idea but it has been really good to get teeth stuck into a project

I look forward to next year and I am already planning to do something similar for 12 days of Christmas to help document the build up to the big day!

August bank holiday 2013

Well today has been one of those days to try and have a rare day in to catch up on things. As nice as the weather has been,  poor Loki's limp has returned and we had to rest him so there was no chance really to do anything.

I caught up in some of my 2013 challenges today

I had planned to continue knitting and I finally started to knit the scarf I promised (this is my August break picture for today!) and I also managed to finish the square I started on holiday

I am so way behind on this project but hope to catch up at some point. I also started planting some autumn plants and got some pansies planed which was good too as they had been sitting outside since Wednesday last week

Finally I started bringing my tomatoes in off my tomato plant - they are all green but I'm hoping that they will be ripe towards end of week, as I have never grown anything myself before and want to do more ( that's if a) these work out and b) Loki stops digging in garden!)

I probably seem like a right bore but I am happiest doing stuff like this and as I mentioned yesterday I have been injured with a bit of a cough , so  unable to run - and we don't get paid till next week so skint too. So I have tried to make best of the weekend with what I already have

I'm feeling a bit sad today because of a variety of reasons including poor Loki not being himself and I am a terrible worrier but also because as much as I like getting a day off work for the August bank holiday, I always feel it signals the end of Summer. As much as I like Autumn (love the colours!) and Winter (because of build up to Christmas)I hate the dark nights and mornings quite a lot. Daylight really helps with my mood-  so miss it when it's gone. I am actually writing this post outside in my yard making the most of a nice evening!

Anyway here's hoping little Loki is feeling better tomorrow - he can still manage a wagging tail even thought be must be fed up! God love him x

Last set next week - until then happy snapping
